  • Start with cleaning the opening areas of the device with the help of an ear wax brush or a soft-bristle toothbrush. 
  • Change the position of a hearing aid device to a downward direction, and tap on it. It will let the heavy particles fall, cleaning the device area on its own. 
  • All the leftovers in the tiny places of the device that failed to come out using an ear brush can be removed and cleaned by an ear pick or wax pick. 
  • Take the soft, clean, dry cloth or maybe a tissue to clean the hearing aids. 
  • Entire debris will be removed using the above step making your device look new. 
  • Cleaning BTE – Behind The Ear

  • Check the debris of your device.
  • Use a dry and smooth cloth or a soft brush to clean it.
  • Clean the earmold after withdrawing it from the hook. 
  • Soak it in the soap lather & warm water at least twice a week.
  • Let the water come out of the tubing using the bulb blower.
  • Let it dry overnight. 
  • Avoid using unknown chemicals or alcohol on it.
  • Cleaning RIC – Receiver in Canal

  • Find a soft, dry cloth that is completely clean.
  • Gradually drag the dry cloth over your hearing aid device from top to bottom, moving it all over the remaining area. 
  • You can use the ear wax brush to clean the microphone ports.
  • Check for the removable wax guard if applicable. 
  • Replace the removable wax guard if it turns out to be too brownish, yellowish, and faded. 
  • You can find a wax guard with the starter kit.
